Hotmart: how does it work and what are the fees?
One of the pioneers in selling online courses, Hotmart launched in 2011 and is almost synonymous with online sales. That makes it a good choice, especially if you want to work with affiliates.
After all, because it was first, many digital product creators are on Hotmart. And, as a result, many of the biggest affiliates choose it too.
There, the fee is 9.90% + R$1 per sale. Just to illustrate: on a R$ 997 product, you would receive R$ 899. There's no limit on withdrawal amounts.
Eduzz: how does it work and what are the fees?
In short, Eduzz works the same way as Hotmart.
You can sell your products directly to your customers or through affiliates. Here, the biggest difference is in the fees.
The fee is 4.90% + R$ 1 per direct sale and R$ 8.90 + R$ 1 for affiliate sales. In other words, on the same R$ 997 product, you receive R$ 947 on direct sales. For affiliate sales, you need to factor in the commission you offer.
There's also a withdrawal limit. For individuals, the maximum is R$ 2,250.00. To withdraw larger amounts, you need to open a business account.
Monetizze: how does it work and what are the fees?
Founded in 2015, Monetizze has stood out in the digital products market in recent years for its technology and ease of access.
The fee is 7.99% + R$ 1.50 per sale. Here, the payout on a R$ 997 product would be R$ 915. As with the previous option, the maximum withdrawal for individuals is R$ 2,250.00. To withdraw larger amounts, you need to open a business account.
Free vs. independent member area
Besides managing financial transactions, some digital product platforms also offer a member area. In other words, a space to host your content and give students access to it.
A word of warning here: a free member area isn't always the best choice.
When you choose a free member area, you lose the chance to try other options you might find better, whether for lower fees or better features. All your financial and student management will be tied to that company.
